Terms of Service

Effective date: 29 October 2026

CKV Media (“CKV Media”, “we”, “us”) is a web, software and AI studio in Louisville, Kentucky, operated by Carl Kuhl V. These terms cover using ckvmedia.co, the client portal, and the calls and text messages we send. Using the site or asking us to get in touch means you accept them. What we do with your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Text messages (SMS)

This is the part worth reading twice if you have given us your number.

What we send. Replies to what you asked us, a link to the few questions we ask before building a demo, confirmations and reminders for calls you booked, and updates on work in progress. Conversation about your job — not bulk marketing.

When we send it. Only to numbers given to us on a form, when booking a call, or in conversation with us. We do not text a number taken from a public directory listing unless the owner asked us to get in touch.

  • Message frequency varies — it depends on what you asked for and what stage the work is at.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Those are between you and your mobile carrier.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. We will stop texting that number, and send one message confirming it.
  • Reply HELP for help, or use the contact form on ckvmedia.co.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone.

Opting out of texts does not cancel anything else — we can still email or call you about work in progress, and you can ask us to stop that too. Carrier rules and the law apply to us whatever these terms say: if you tell us to stop by any means, we stop.

Quotes, demos and proposals

A quote or proposal is an offer to do described work for a stated price, good for thirty days unless it says otherwise. A demo we build before you hire us is ours until the work is agreed and paid for; it is there to show you what we would build, and we may take it down.

Paying for work

Invoices are due as stated on them. Card payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. Work on a project can pause while an invoice is unpaid, and hosting or a subscription can be suspended if it stays unpaid, after we have told you.

What you give us

Text, photos, logos and anything else you send us for the work stays yours. By sending it you confirm you have the right to use it and to let us use it to build and run what you hired us for.

What we build

When the work is paid for in full, the finished site or product is yours. The underlying tools, components and techniques we reuse between projects stay ours. We may show the finished work and your business name as an example of what we do; tell us if you would rather we did not, and we will not.

The client portal

Accounts are for the people you tell us about. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. We can suspend an account that is being misused or that puts the portal or another client at risk.

What we do not promise

We build and run things carefully, but the site, the portal and anything we host are provided as they are. We do not promise that a site will never be down, that search rankings or traffic will reach any particular level, or that third-party services we connect to — payments, analytics, scheduling, hosting, carriers — will always work. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Limits

Where the law allows it, our total liability for any claim connected to the work is limited to what you paid us for that work in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or lost business.

Ending it

Either of us can stop an ongoing arrangement with reasonable notice. You pay for work done up to that point; we hand over what has been paid for and stop billing.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the courts of Jefferson County, Kentucky deal with any dispute.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update this page and change the effective date above. Carrying on with the work after that means the new version applies.
